Sports PR Summit 2016
The 4th Annual Sports PR Summit presented by The Players’ Tribune took place on May 17 in New York City. The full-day Sports PR Summit brings together Senior PR executives from the pro (NBA, NFL, MLB, MLS, NHL, NASCAR, PGA Tour, LPGA) and collegiate (NCAA) sports ranks as well as from top sports corporations (adidas, CAA, Wasserman Media Group). Senior PR executives, a pro sports commissioner, a pro sports team owner, elite athletes and senior sports executives share candid insight via panel discussions and networking opportunities. The event allows for PR executives to gain an insight as to how reporters and athletes are operating today and leave with a better understanding of best practices throughout the sports PR world. Miami Dolphins owner and RISE Founder Stephen M. Ross, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, Boston Celtics All-Star Isaiah Thomas, WNBA MVP and Olympic gold medalist Lisa Leslie, 2016 NHL All-Star Game MVP John Scott, Olympic speedskater Joey Cheek and PGA Tour CMO Ty Votaw were amongst the distinguished featured speakers and panelists in attendance.
